Edgar
Um, hi. I’m Edgar. Do you mind if I hide behind some sunglasses? I’m very shy. I was once at a high kill shelter (and that was scary), and another rescue was nice enough to get me out, but they didn’t know what is different about me, so they left me in a dog crate for a year trying to figure out how to help me, which was very lonely.
They eventually contacted the nice people at Milo’s to take me in and help me. The wonderful folks of Milo’s figured out quickly that I am deaf, blind and have neurological issues. (and yet I type so well!) I’ve even met a friend, Hermoine, that has the same issues as me! You can read her story here
I still have digestive issues, but Milo’s keeps me on special medicine any time I need it along with some really yummy food. I don’t always understand humans, but the ones here are really patient with me and they are allowing me to explore my new home in my own time. I’m so thankful I can be myself; shy, and not afraid of my differences.
