Zelda
A lovely family found Zelda on the street, struggling to survive. Seeing Zelda’s eyes and guessing she was blind, they took her into their home and tried to find help by placing an ad on Craigslist. This little girl had eye infections that had gone untreated and sadly left her blind in both eyes.
The family was in a very economically challenged area of Los Angeles and had no funds to get Zelda to a vet. They did the best they could and tried to help her by not letting her wander blind, scared, and starving on the streets. A group of very dedicated rescuers saw the ad on Craigslist and knew Milo’s was the only special needs cat rescue in the entire Southern California. They contacted us to see if we could help.
When we saw the first photos of Zelda with her eye literally bulging out of her head, we agreed to take her into Milo's and immediately took her to our veterinarians. Zelda spent a few days having tests run and being monitored until she was ready for her surgery to remove both her infected eyes and get spayed as well.
Zelda is so sweet, gentle, and so tiny for her age that she looks like a kitten. She’s learned to play and maneuver around her Lifetime Care Foster home and enjoys her foster brothers and sisters. It’s a lot to learn for a little girl who was once living on the streets! Please consider sponsoring Zelda so she can have all she requires to live a full, happy, and healthy life!
