Tiny Tim

Tiny Tim was rescued from a shelter on Christmas Eve in 2011. Milo’s had pulled two cats from the same shelter earlier that week after a hoarder had been busted, but the shelter did not inform us about Tiny Tim. He was in the medical room where the public is not allowed and was never shown to the public for adoption. A volunteer at the shelter contacted us and begged us to take him.
Tiny Tim, Oliver (Tim’s best friend) and Maggie (a beautiful blind calico) were all part of a raid on a hoarder in Los Angeles. This hoarder never treated their eye or upper respiratory infections and due to the lack of simple care and medications the eye infections were so bad that their eyes scarred over leaving them almost completely blind.
Milo’s asked the shelter to hold Tim until December 26th to allow volunteers to get to the shelter after the holidays. The shelter told our volunteers that they were closing in 15 minutes and they would kill Tiny Tim at that point if someone wasn’t there to get him. A Milo’s volunteer drove through holiday traffic and made it to the shelter in time to save Tiny Tim’s life and bring him to Milo’s. Tiny Tim joined Oliver and Maggie in the isolation room where they enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with lots of yummy food, new toys, soft beds and even lots of love.
Timmy was placed into our Lifetime Care Program due to his ongoing eye issues and blindness. He’s quite the character, very playful and you will often find he and Oliver “helping” around Milo’s Sanctuary. His specialty is falling into the drinking fountain when playing in it!
Thanks your sponsorship and generosity, Tiny Tim will never face another Christmas alone!
