Squeakerbane
This darling little house panther was rescued when he and his siblings were going to be taken to a high kill shelter. The neighbors of the woman who rescued them never fixed their mama cat and one day after giving birth, she was hit by a car and killed. The people who had the kittens threatened to take them to the shelter.
The kind neighbor knew that the shelters were overflowing and that Squeaker was different from his brother and sister. She reached out to us and we agreed to take him and found another rescue willing to take the brother and sister who had no special needs. Squeaker was a tiny little 6-week-old boy with a fiery spirit and he stole all of our hearts, especially that of our dearest Pancake. They instantly became best friends and were always together; eating, playing, grooming, sleeping and of course, causing lots of mischief.
Squeaker went straight to the neurologist and was put on medication to help with his hydrocephalus. As he grew, he started to have grand maul seizures, so back to the neurologist where he was put on different medications. Luckily, the new medications are working well and his seizures have stopped. The next step is a shunt to help control the fluid pressure in his head.
When Pancake passed so suddenly, Squeaker walked around looking for his friend and was simply depressed. We knew he needed a new friend and had just rescued a darling little kitten from Roatan, near Honduras, and we introduced them. Squeaker immediately perked up and now, though we know no one will ever replace Pancake, at least he has someone to share his life with.
Squeaker’s medications, neurologist, and shunt surgery are very expensive and we are hoping that you can help us help him by becoming his sponsor.
