Gavin
Gavin came to Milo's Sanctuary from a high kill shelter with a very swollen nose and trouble breathing. Michele, Milo's President, was concerned that Gavin may have cryptococcus, like long-time residents Khy and Jingles. A visit to our vet confirmed the cryptococcus infection and we immediately started Gavin on anti-fungal medications.
Cryptococcus require we test Gavin and the other cryto cats every six months to ensure we're managing the infection. There's no sure for the condition, only control, so it's imperative these cats receive routine monitoring and care.
Gavin is thriving with care here at Milo's. He's made friends, found his favorite spots in the cats trees, and enjoys cuddles from our Sanctuary staff and volunteers. Gavin would love sponsors to ensure his medical needs will be covered for the rest of his life, and perhaps some treats and toys too!
