Fizz
Fizz’s beginnings were marked by serious neglect, so his journey of growth since coming to Milo’s as a kitten has been amazing to witness. Fizz came to us from someone who considered themselves a “rescuer”, but was, sadly, wholly unprepared to care for the number of cats they had taken in. When Fizz arrived at Milo’s he was not neutered, covered in fleas, and completely terrified of everyone and everything. In addition, Fizz has a cleft palate and nose, and slight Cerebellar Hypoplasia (just like our lovely Fennel Springsong!). As with Fennel, we have to keep an eye on Fizz when he eats to ensure that he doesn’t aspirate any food into his lungs through his cleft palate.
It has taken a lot of patience, gentleness, and love to bring Fizz out of his shell – things we have a never-ending supply of here at Milo’s – and his sweet personality continues to shine through. Due to Fizz’s past trauma, he likes to spend a lot of time observing before he jumps into anything, and he can most often be found up high in one of the many cat trees at the Sanctuary, watching the world around him.
