Emmit

Picture
A good Samaritan found Emmit and his sibling in some bushes. Emmit was taken to the vet’s office and our vet tech friend contacted Milo’s Sanctuary and asked for our help. Sadly, Emmit’s sibling passed away shortly after they arrived.  Emmit was only about 2 weeks old at the time and very, very sick with a cold.

For over two weeks, Emmit was tube fed, was on antibiotics, and needed round-the-clock care. We weren't sure he was going to make it, but he did! He's very small for his age, but that doesn’t stop him getting into trouble with his best friend is Maggie, who we got from Mexico at 4 weeks old. They adore each other and are rarely out of each other’s sight!

Emmit was born with a cleft nose, slight cleft palate, and mild cerebellar hypoplasia. He has a cute wobble to his walk and doesn’t jump very well, but he tries with all his might. For one so small, he has a big life ahead of him!
