Biscuit Butterpaws
Biscuit Butterpaws came to us from Tijuana, Mexico after a group of kind rescuers found him beaten and dying on the street. Through interviews, the rescuers discovered someone had witnessed Biscuit being beaten with a wood object. Biscuit was rushed to a local vet, and doctors found that the attack had left him blind in both eyes with severe head and face trauma. The local vets couldn’t help him, and he faced euthanasia unless the rescuers could locate someone else to help.
Milo’s Sanctuary was contacted through social media, and within 24 hours Biscuit was at our vets receiving medical treatment for his injuries. He showed everyone how brave he was, and purred and made “biscuits” through all his treatments.
Sadly, we were unable to save Biscuit's eyes, but he has recovered from his other physical injuries. His trauma though goes beyond just physical; He’s very scared and jumps at loud noises and is adjusting to now being blind. For the first time in his life, he has a home, soft beds, water fountains, medical care, and a full belly. We will give him all the time, love, patience, and reassurance he needs to trust humans again.
Thanks to your generosity and Milo’s Sanctuary’s love of the special kitties, he’ll be safe and happy for the rest of his life as a Lifetime Care Cat.
