Binx & Bixby

My name is Binx, and me and my brother Bixby are pretty new here! As youngsters, we were left at something called a “high-kill” shelter. I don’t know exactly what that means, but it sure wasn’t a happy place!
A rescue group took us in and tried to get us forever homes, but no one wanted to adopt us! We are two happy, playful boys, and we get along great with other cats, so we really wanted a permanent home. Maybe it’s because we tend to tumble around a bit. Bixby and I have something called “Cerebellar Hypoplasia”, or “CH” for short, which sounds pretty fancy to us! It just means that a part of our brains, the cerebellum, didn’t quite grow the way it usually does in cats, so when we walk and run and play, we tend to topple over, stumble, and roll a bit. It sure doesn’t bother us, though, because we are all about having FUN! When we fall, we just get right back up and keep going! We often fall in our litter boxes, which, yeah , THAT can get a little messy and smelly, but we are good boys who don’t fuss when we must get a bath, which is usually every day. Well, that rescue group had a lot going on, and having two tumble-y cats who tended to fall in their own poop a lot was a bit much for them, so they contacted Milo’s Sanctuary. They asked if Milo’s could help us, and of course, Milo’s said YES!
So, we made the trip to Milo’s, and we couldn’t be happier! We have made lots of friends – cats AND humans! – and the humans tell us that we make them smile every day. We’re just being ourselves, and we are so glad to have a forever home at Milo’s Sanctuary!
