Sophie Grace

Picture
Sophie Grace came to us after someone had seen her tossed onto the sidewalk from a moving car when she was six weeks old.

The woman who saw this horrible act immediately scooped Sophie up and got in touch with a local cat rescue who then contacted Milo’s. They explained that Sophie had twisted back legs and they weren’t sure what to do with her, as they were worried about adopting her into a home that wasn’t prepared for her special needs.

After a visit to a wonderful Veterinarian Orthopedic Surgeon who determined she was born with the twisted back legs and determining that she was not a candidate for surgery, Milo’s agreed to take Sophie Grace into the Lifetime Care Program.

Sophie Grace settled into her foster home quickly and soon showed everyone she could play like any other kitten, despite having deformed back legs. By the time she was a year old, she was pulling herself up onto the couch, the bed and the cat trees with amazing ability and dexterity. She wears special leggings made for her by this incredible organization that we found on Facebook called Leggings for Life. These leggings protect her back legs from abrasions and sores.

The only thing that would make Sophie’s life better is a sponsor of her own. Please consider sponsoring her today.
