Pixie Pawspouncer

Pixie Pawspouncer has had a rough start in life. She was born blind with both eyelid agenesis (deformed or missing eyelids) and the worst entropion (the eyelashes growing into the eyes) the vets had ever seen. Her eyes were infected so badly that the vets and techs told us they could smell the infection from her eyes.
But that wasn't the worse part: she was never spayed and was kept outside part of the time. She got pregnant and had kittens. At 5 weeks old, her kittens were taken from her (and we have NO idea what happened to them). We asked about the kittens and were told the person who had Pixie originally had "found them homes." Now she wanted to get rid of Pixie!
We agreed to take her the end of May when we had room available. We got an email from the person who had her saying she was "getting out of hand". When asked what that meant, she told us that Pixie was trying to get out of the yard We knew she was in heat again and it was imperative we get her as soon as possible.
The day before we were to take her, we got an email saying she got out of her “outside kennel” and escaped. They couldn't find her. Hours later, they finally they located her blocks away, wandering alone and lost near a busy intersection. We took her immediately.
Pixie underwent a two-hour surgical procedure to remove her eyes and it was a tough surgery. The eyes weren't just infected and full of pus they also had hair and dirt in them! How this cat stayed alive without a brain infection is a miracle.
Pixie is a sweet girl who loves to play and roughhouse with the other cats, holding her own against any of the boys. She would love to have sponsors to make sure she gets all the medical care, food, and anything else she needs for the remainder of her life!
