Mercury Stardust

Picture
Mercury may look like a buff, burly bruiser, but he is actually a big ol’ teddy bear. This strapping boy looks tough, but he is a gentleman and a sweetheart – and he has developed a reputation as quite the ladies’ man at Trueheart Haven!

Mercury was found with horrendous eye infections that had been left untreated by previous humans (who also left him outside). Sadly, those neglected infections caused permanent damage to both eyes, which run constantly and are highly prone to new infections. We monitor him very closely, and during bad eye flareups he gets special eye medications prescribed by our veterinarian, as well as regular vet visits to make sure that his sight doesn’t deteriorate even further.

At the Sanctuary, you will often find Mercury cuddling with one of the female cats, or chilling with his good buddy Archie.

Sponsoring Mercury will help to ensure funds for his medications and specialized eye care.
