Welcome to Milo's Sanctuary

Issac

Picture
Isaac’s rescue journey to Milo’s was a long one: over 7500 miles across the globe from Egypt! Isaac was found on the streets, blind and trying to fend for himself.

Milo’s works closely with an Egyptian cat rescue that has told us many times that special needs cats simply do not get adopted in Egypt. When we welcomed Isaac to the Sanctuary, he was unsure of his surroundings and scared of everyone, which was to be expected. Time, patience, and letting him take the lead have allowed Isaac to settle in, and he has discovered the simple joys of sleeping on the couch, snuggling with a friend in a cozy bed, or soaking up the sun outside on the catio. He is still wary of unfamiliar humans (and will swat at someone he doesn’t know, which is understandable!) --  but once he gets to know you, he will happily accept an offering of his favorite thing in the world: catnip! He also loves the other cats and is rarely seen far from one of his feline friends, including his buddy (and fellow Egyptian blind cat) Cooper.
