Daisy

Daisy’s story began when she was rescued in September of 2010 from a shelter after a hoarder with 200 cats and 100 dogs had been busted.

Milo’s literally got to the shelter moments before she was to be killed. They had her in the euthanasia room and were about to administer the fatal injection. She was so sick and emaciated that the shelter didn’t hold out any hope for her being rescued or ever recovering. Milo’s stepped in and happily took Daisy into our Lifetime Care Program.

When Daisy was rescued, she weighed only 4lbs and could not stand for more than a couple of minutes at a time because she was so weak. Daisy had open wounds on her back and tail from living in her own filth and her ear had a puncture wound from fighting over what little food there was. She was also missing huge patches of hair due to malnutrition.

It took months of medications, a special diet, vet visits and lots of TLC to get her to where she is today. Today, Daisy is a happy, healthy, energetic little girl who brings such joy and happiness to our lives on a daily basis.

Daisy still has life-long dietary issues and must be on a very special and limited diet. Due to the starvation and many parasites she had, she has scarred intestines and must be very careful about what she eats at all times.

Daisy would love to be your special flower through Lifetime Care sponsorship!
